Staff from a Fareham animal rescue centre are appealing for donations to help their cats and dogs by taking on a 27-mile relay walk.

Today (September 24), a team from Stubbington Ark Animal Rescue Centre is embarking on a walk to raise vital funds for the animal centre.

The team will be heading to fellow animal centre Mount Noddy, in Chichester, to raise funds for the cats, dogs, pigs and other creatures in its care.

As an independent branch of the RSPCA and a separately registered charity, the Ark is responsible for raising all its own funds to help keep the centre up and running.
