Two lovable dogs are searching for a family in Southampton or Fareham to give them a forever home.

One year-old White Doberman, Monty, and seven-year-old Patterdale Terrier, Jessie, are looking for new owners to taken them away from the Stubbington Ark Rescue Centre.

Monty has been up for re-homing for eight months and Jessie has been on the search for an owner for four months.

As previously reported, due to the lack of pigment in his eyes, making him sensitive to the light, Monty has to wear goggles in the sun and sun cream on his nose.

“He enjoys cuddles with his human friends and he thinks he’s a cat because he wants nothing more than to curl up on your lap but he doesn’t seem to understand how big he is.”

It would not be appropriate for children to walk Monty due to his reactivity and strength.

Jessie is described by staff at the Ark as ‘a super fun terrier,’ who loves to chase a treat into long grass.

“Due to her reactivity with dogs she will need to be walked in a muzzle where there are off lead dogs.

“She would benefit from having a regular run off lead in a private hire dog field.”

The black and white Patterdale Terrier will need a private enclosed garden to explore, with 6ft fences as she is agile and has a high prey drive.

She will struggle with dogs in nearby gardens and so would need a quiet area.
