A builders merchant in Gosport has donated more than £1,000 to a charity established in memory of a local girl.
On Tuesday, March 5, Covers Timber & Builders Merchants presented a £1,136 cheque to Sophie’s Legacy.
The money was raised through depot fundraising activities, including a 'guess how many nails in a jar' challenge, a raffle, and donations from customers.
Sophie Fairall passed away from cancer in 2021 at the age of 10. Her legacy continues to support others.
Charlotte Fairall said: "We are so grateful when local businesses like Covers get involved and show their support for Sophie’s Legacy.
"Every penny raised goes towards continuing Sophie’s mission of making life a little better for children undergoing cancer treatment, as well as supporting their families.
"The generosity from companies and the local community means so much, and we are thankful for Covers Gosport’s fantastic effort."
