A gardener from the New Forest has tied the knot on reality TV show Married at First Sight.

Caspar Todd, 34, opted to try and find the love of his life on the E4 show after admitting he was lonely and “missing a partner.”

The series follows a group of singletons who then meet their bridge or groom at the altar, before deciding on whether they want to stay together.

Speaking on the show known as MAFS, Caspar said: “In my 20s I was an estate agent in London.

"I wasn’t happy working tonnes of hours and always had stuff running through my head, I found there wasn’t much room to breathe.

“I love being outdoors and in nature but being so remote has definitely affected my dating chances, there are just less people and less opportunities.”

After leaving his role in the capital as an estate agent, Todd became a gardener at a private estate in the New Forest.

The owner of two dogs – Winston and Bridget – Caspar named the latter furry friend after Bridget Jones.

“I’d say finding people to go on dates with is the hardest part,” said Caspar.

“I’ve seen my sister, and my friends settle down and I’m jealous.

“I didn’t like my weight or the way I looked in my 20s which probably caused a lack of self-worth at times.

“I definitely struggle with my image, not being attractive enough.”

He added: “I’ve done a lot of work on me, and I like who I am now but I’m missing a partner, I’m lonely.”

Having never been in a relationship before, Emma confessed that her true love is her friends.

Going into the wedding, Caspar said he hoped to spend the next 50 years of his life with Emma.

Now they’re wed, the pair are set to embark on their honeymoon, with new episodes available on E4.
