A new campaign is being launched to promote Southampton's Old Town.
The initiative, running throughout September, is being led by GO! Southampton through Visit Southampton and Your Southampton.
It aims to highlight the Old Town's offerings beyond its rich history, focusing on food and drink, nightlife, culture, arts, leisure, shopping, and events.
The Old Town, which includes landmarks like the Bargate and the medieval city walls and vaults, is steeped in history.
To encourage exploration, the campaign is offering special deals for SO card holders throughout September.
These include 20 per cent off events at The 1865, a fish and chips meal at The Platform Tavern for £13, 25 per cent off drinks at The Star Hotel, and 20 per cent off escape rooms at Dark Arts Potion Bar.
The campaign will also have a physical presence, with printed guides being distributed in certain postcodes and available at various locations including The Marlands, SeaCity Museum, Moxy Hotel, God’s House Tower, and Bluestar Travelshop.
The guide provides further details about the campaign and its offerings. For more information, you can visit visitsouthampton.co.uk/oldtown.
Flo Bevis, Marketing Manager at GO! Southampton, said: "Love the Old Town is all about raising awareness and showcasing the fantastic offer Old Town presents, inspiring those who live and work in the city to go and explore what’s available right on their doorstep.
"Whether you’re a food lover, a history buff, a fan of live music, or just looking for a great day out, the Old Town has something special for everyone."
Hannah Preston, venue manager at medieval arts and heritage venue, God’s House Tower, said: "This is such an exciting opportunity to open people’s eyes to the riches all around them.
"Old Town is a mini destination in itself. Every visit offers something new, from centuries-old history to world-class dining in more than 50 restaurants, bars and cafes. People can kick back and watch the world go by or let loose at night with exciting live music. And the best bit is that it’s all right here waiting for them."
