A Hamble kickboxer has joined an accountancy firm as a senior manager.
Emily Girling, of Hamble, has joined Carpenter Box as a senior manager at the firm’s fast-growing Portsmouth office.
The ICAEW chartered accountant joins the firm with 11 years of professional experience and specialist knowledge of the not-for-profit and education sectors.
Mrs Girling will be overseeing the smooth running of client audits in line with accounting and auditing reporting standards.
She said: "When I came for my interview, I got a really good vibe about the working environment and the ambition of the firm.
"It’s clear that they put support for their clients at the heart of everything they do on a daily basis."
Her long-term aim is to build her portfolio of not-for-profit clients in the Portsmouth area.
Outside of work, Mrs Girling is married with two young daughters and is a very keen kickboxer, aiming to achieve her black belt in the coming weeks.
