A garage compound in a village near Romsey has been sold at auction in a bidding war.
The site, which has planning permission for two three-bedroom houses, was bought for £167,000.
This was £47,000 more than the lower end of the guide price.
The freehold site, which has 12 vacant lock-up garages and is adjacent to 16 Gurnays Mead, West Wellow, was among 180 lots listed across southern England by Clive Emson Auctioneers.

Mike Marchant, a senior auction appraiser in Hampshire for the firm, said: "There was keen interest, with a total of 22 bids made. The final one came in at £167,000, which was £47,000 more than the lower end of the guide price.
"The site currently comprises 12 vacant lock-up garages and benefits from consent for demolition of the garages and the construction of two, three-bedroom houses."
Meanwhile, farm buildings and six acres of rural land at Highdell Barns, Warnford, around eight miles southeast of Winchester, are still available.
The next online auction by Clive Emson Auctioneers, the seventh of eight this year, starts on October 30 and concludes 48 hours later on November 1.
Entries for lots close on October 7, and the catalogue is released from October 11.
