FOUR new destinations have been added to Bournemouth’s Airport’s list of flights as Jet2 announces its summer 2026 programme.

The low-cost airline has announced 21 sun and leisure destinations for 2026 – five more than its first year of holidays from Hurn, starting on February 4, 2025.

It has included new three-weekly services to Malaga along with new to Bournemouth Airport weekly trips to Dubrovnik in Croatia, the Greek island of Kos, Reus in Catalonia, Spain and Verona in Italy.

As well as this, summer 2026 will see a third Jet2 plane arrive in Hurn to help accommodate the extra flights; 41 will depart each week.

The news comes less than a week after British Airways announced it was pulling out of Southampton Airport.

The expanded programme means more than 370,000 seats have gone on sale, representing a capacity increase of over 30 per cent when compared to summer 2025.

Bosses at Jet2 have said the new list is in response to “strong demand” from holidaymakers since the business announced it would fly from Hurn earlier this year.

Steve Heapy, chief executive of Jet2, said the 2026 programme promises to be his company’s best yet and added he has “every confidence it will be a huge success”.

He said: “Since announcing the launch of flights and holidays from Bournemouth Airport, the reaction from local customers and independent travel agents has been phenomenal.

“In response to that, we have expanded our flying programme in just our second summer of operation from Bournemouth Airport and put our biggest and best summer programme on sale for 2026, earlier than ever before.

“Our summer 26 programme represents a huge expansion with more seats and routes on sale, meaning holidaymakers have never had so much choice and flexibility.

“As well as offering customers and independent travel agents a greater selection of flights and holidays to choose from, our enormous summer 26 programme allows them to book in advance and get a date in their diary now.”

Steve Gill, managing director of Bournemouth Airport, added that Jet2 has “brought fantastic opportunities” for holidaymakers by providing “even more choice, flexibility and convenience”.

He added: “We're thrilled that the fantastic response from local holidaymakers to their summer 2025 schedule has given them the confidence to launch five new routes and base a third aircraft at Bournemouth for summer 2026, with all flights on sale now.

“We are hugely excited about the positive impact this expansion will have for both the airport, passengers and the local economy."
