The following speeding cases have been heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court...

NATAHN SHERRIFF, 36, of Wimborne Road West, Wimborne admitted exceeding a temporary 50mph speed restriction on a motorway. He was caught driving a Volkswagen at 76mph on the M3 northbound between junctions 12 and 11 near Compton. Sherriff was fined £1,153 and received six points. He must pay £110 court costs and a £461 surcharge. 

NICOLAS HALLER, 52, of Heron Close, Sway was found guilty of speeding on the M3 at East Stratton. He was clocked at 100mph in a Volkswagen. The national 70mph limit was in place. Haller was fined £80 and received six points. He must pay £50 court costs and a £32 surcharge.

SHAUN OMALLEY, 55, of Bullar Road, Southampton pleaded guilty to speeding on the A3024 Bitterne Road West in Southampton. He was caught at 37mph in a 30mph zone whilst driving a Peugeot 107. Omalley was fined £40 and received six points. He must pay £55 court costs and a £16 surcharge. 

MARTIN RICHARDSON, 58, of Redlands Lane, Fareham was found guilty of exceeding a 50mph variable speed limit on the M27 westbound. He was travelling between junctions eight and seven near Hedge End when he was clocked at 64mph in a Hyundai. Richardson was fined £140 and he received three points. He must pay £50 court costs plus a £56 surcharge. 

RYAN SLAUGHTER, 40, of Cedar Avenue, Shirley admitted exceeding a temporary 50mph speed restriction on the M3 at Winchester. He was in a Range Rover when he was clocked at 67mph. Slaughter was fined £315 and received four points. He must pay £200 court costs and a £126 surcharge.
