A Lymington railway line is due to close for eight days for essential track and viaduct work.
The Lymington Branch line will close from Saturday, October 26, to Sunday, November 3.
Network Rail engineers are expected to replace three-quarters of a mile of track between Brockenhurst and Lymington Pier.
Buses will replace trains during this period. The new track will be treated by a Sand Rover, which will apply a gel to help train wheels grip in wet conditions.
Viaduct strengthening work will also begin, with a second phase planned for December 21 to January 5, 2025.
Mark Goodall, Network Rail Wessex route director, said: "We’re sorry for any inconvenience this work will cause and thank passengers for their patience during this period.
"During this time, the railway between Brockenhurst and Lymington Pier will be closed, and a rail replacement bus service will be in operation to allow our engineers to safely complete their work. We’re working closely with our train operator partners South Western Railway and Wightlink Ferry company to ensure passengers can continue their journeys."
