Customers for two cancelled festivals have called on organisers to take responsibility as they still await refunds.

Save the Rave and Look-a-Like music festival customers say it has been an "absolute fiasco" as they still haven't heard when they will get their money back.

The events were due to take place at Royal Victory Country Park on September 28 and 29 but had to be cancelled by organisers Jaly Group UK Ltd.

The organisation had initially asked Eastleigh Borough Council to amend its licensing agreement to allow the new dates after it was rearranged in August, but this was refused.

Now scores of customers are working to get back what they've lost, including Richard Cox from Bitterne who forked out nearly £400.

The 57-year-old bought the VIP tickets in November 2023 for his friends and family but he has now been left in two minds whether to buy tickets for similar events in future.

He said: “I was initially guilty that I couldn’t give my friends their money back, so it was slightly reassuring to find that a lot of people have been affected and it wasn’t just us.

“I just want the organisers to take some accountability. I was initially told I’d received a partial refund and would need to click on a link to go through the process of getting a full refund.

“I want to my bank, and they told me no money had been paid back into the account, so I’m working with them to try and get the money back.

“I saw that the festival was still being advertised on Facebook and could have been taking money from people even when we knew it wasn’t going ahead. How can that be allowed to happen?”

Jayne Geromin, 66, from Hamble paid £146 for tickets to the Look-a-Like tribute festival, and contacted Skiddle, the ticket outlet, after the show was rearranged from August to September.

More than one month later and she’s still waiting to receive a refund.

She said: “I certainly wouldn’t use Skiddle again.

“It’s been an absolute fiasco from start to finish and I wouldn’t want go through anything like this again, it’s really off-putting.”
