A New Forest man’s honeymoon turned into a nightmare after his wife told him he “needs to work on his view of women.”
Caspar Todd, 34, a gardener at a private estate in the New Forest married his bride Emma in the first episode of Married at First Sight 2024.
The third instalment of the show which literally sees singletons looking for love marry at first sight in front of their friends and family, saw the pair embark on their honeymoon in Jamaica.
After spending the day in the pool with Emma – a 31-year-old investment sales manager from Bristol – Caspar confessed to his new bride that he hadn’t found the spark he was hoping for.
He said: “I’m struggling, I haven’t found that spark yet, I have rarely gone for the curvier person.”
When asked by Emma if he fancied her, Caspar replied “no.”

Visibly shocked by her husband’s comments, Emma said: “So you didn’t fancy me, and you don’t fancy me.
“If you didn’t think I was sexy in my wedding dress and you didn’t think I was sexy in my gorgeous bikini today, I don’t know what hope there is.
“What we’re here to do is look beyond that because my personality, my confidence, should help you be more confident, and you should see qualities bigger than my clothes size – you need to work on your view of women.”
Admitting his comments had caused pain, Emma and Caspar reconvened the next morning, where Emma said: “It’s a shame I’m not attractive to the person I married.
“What you said to me last night, it’s not kind for any woman to hear that.
“I’m a size 14, I’m not a monster.”
