Summer Sessions will return to Southampton next year, with a headline show from Simple Minds.
The series of live music events in Guildhall Square this summer was a huge success, drawing bumper crowds of music lovers for acts including Tom Jones, Kaiser Chiefs, Nile Rodgers & CHIC, Loyle Carner and Placebo.
Festival favourites Simple Minds will take to the stage on Sunday June 29, 2025 and tickets go on sale later this week.

Simple Minds are one of the UK’s most successful bands, with six No.1 albums and chart-topping success in countries around the world.
Over a 40-year career, the band has explored a wide range of musical styles—from avant-garde and art-rock to stadium anthems—while remaining quintessentially themselves.
Famed for hits like the Don’t You (Forget About Me) and UK No.1 Belfast Child, the band has sold over 60 million records. Three studio albums Sparkle In The Rain, Once Upon A Time, and Street Fighting Years hit No.1 in the UK, alongside live album Live In The City Of Light.
Peter Taylor, Co-Founder of concert promoters Cuffe & Taylor, said: "We are absolutely thrilled to bring Simple Minds to headline the Summer Sessions in Bedford, Derby, and Southampton.
"They are an iconic band with a legendary catalogue of hits that have defined generations, and their live performances are truly second to none. After the success of last year’s Summer Sessions, we are excited to raise the bar even higher in 2025.
"These shows will be a real highlight of the summer, and we can’t wait to welcome fans for what promises to be another incredible series of events."
Tickets will go on sale on Friday (October 4) via smmrsessions.com or ticketmaster.co.uk
Further headliners for next year's Southampton series are yet to be announced.
2024 was the city's first inclusion in the Summer Sessions series.
An impressive pop up stage was erected in front of MAST Mayflower Studios and crowds were able to access bars inside O2 Guildhall Southampton as well as enjoying various food trucks out the front.
Various concerts took place over a three week period in June.
