Almost 900,000 appointments will be available for flu and Covid-19 vaccinations across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
The vaccination campaign kicks off on Thursday, October 3, with nearly 900,000 appointments across the region.
The NHS has urged eligible residents to get vaccinated to help prevent the spread of winter respiratory illnesses and to lessen symptoms if infected.
Dr Matt Nisbet, Hampshire GP and clinical lead for vaccinations for NHS Hampshire and Isle of Wight, said: "In this country vaccines have a solid safety record and inarguably are one of the best ways to protect yourselves from illnesses.
"As we prepare to enter the colder months, we know respiratory illnesses such as flu and COVID-19 become more common.
"Symptoms can range from feeling quite unpleasant for some people right up to hospitalisation for others which is something we want to avoid.
"These vaccinations provide vital protection, helping to prevent serious illnesses and reduce hospital admissions during the busy winter months.
"It is also safe to have both flu and COVID-19 vaccinations in one appointment, which can save you time by only attending one appointment."
Flu vaccinations are recommended for people aged 65 and over, those aged 18 to under 65 in clinical risk groups, residents of long-stay care homes, and certain carers.
Frontline health and social care workers are also advised to get the flu jab. Covid-19 autumn boosters are advised for older adults in care homes, all adults aged 65 and over, and people aged six months to 64 in clinical risk groups.
The vaccination programme for flu began in September, prioritising pregnant women and children aged two to 16.
The NHS has particularly focused on vaccinating pregnant women this year, as they are at higher risk of complications from both Covid-19 and flu.
Last year, 38 per cent of pregnant women got vaccinated, a rise from 51 per cent in 2021.
Women who are 28 weeks or more pregnant, and people aged 75 to 79, are also being invited to get the respiratory syncytial virus vaccine.
Appointments can be booked via the NHS website, the NHS App, or by calling 119. The NHS will send out invitations to those eligible, and GP practices will also contact people to offer the vaccines.
