A housing company has denied breaching health and safety regulations after a child was left with a fractured skull when an iron pipe fell onto him.
Sage Homes Limited pleaded not guilty to failing to discharge its general health, safety and welfare duty at Southampton Crown Court on Tuesday.
The company, based at Solent Business Centre on Millbrook Road West, is alleged to have committed the offence on July 20, 2021.
The court heard how a cast iron pipe had collapsed on School Road, Totton, striking a young boy of primary school age.

He was left with a fractured skull.
No update was given in court on his condition.
The company director, Jason Scorey, of Salisbury Road, Totton also denied contravening a health and safety regulation.
Both the company and its director are due to go on trial on July 28 next year.
A pre-trial hearing is due to take place at Southampton Crown Court on February 14.
Scorey was released on unconditional bail.
