A Southampton charity is aiding a university's community engagement project.
Communicare is teaming up with the University of Southampton and Southampton Voluntary Services to involve service users and volunteers in community research sessions.
The sessions, which began in October, allow participants to share their views on medical research findings.
Annie Clewlow, manager at Communicare, said: "We’re delighted to be working in partnership with the team from University of Southampton’s Faculty of Medicine and with our good friends at Southampton Voluntary Services, led by Development Worker, Rebecca Kinge.
"We’re now recruiting our next cohort for November and would like to hear from anyone keen to be involved. Plus, we’re very happy to chat to any other researchers who would like to connect with our service users and volunteers and get essential grassroots feedback for their projects."
This initiative is part of the university's ongoing partnership with the NHS, aiming to build trust with communities and broaden the range of voices in health and social care research.
