A "spiteful" ex and a sword-wielding housemate are among those who have appeared at Southampton's courts in September.

Hundreds of people have attended hearings at Southampton Crown Court and Southampton Magistrates' Court in the last month.

Below is a round-up of some of the biggest cases in Southampton in September:

Tristan Clamp

Depraved Clamp filmed up the skirts of hundreds of women and children using a hidden camera on his shoe.

The pervert was caught when police uncovered photos having seized his devices during a raid in April 2023.

The footage showed victims, estimated to be as young as seven, seemingly unaware of what is happening, with Clamp's face also visible at times.

Khelan Anwari

Anwari left a woman in shock and in tears when he exposed himself at The Edge nightclub in St Mary's.

The 36-year-old had been speaking to the woman beforehand, but when she turned away and then looked back, he had began carrying out a sexual act behind her.

He was identified when security staff who kicked him out of the club went to check the CCTV for evidence.

Darren Hendry

Hampshire boxer Darren Hendry spat in a woman's face and attempted to rape her while on bail.

The 35-year-old attacked his victim in December last year in a 'long and protracted' assault that saw him use his teeth 'as a weapon'.

He then strangled the woman before she was able to escape, later commenting that she is haunted by the incident most of her 'waking moments'.

Georgina Saville

'Spiteful' Saville was found guilty by a jury of editing a picture of a DNA test she found online to say her new boyfriend was actually the father of her newborn baby.

Her ex, Kyle Fitton, was left unable to see his newborn after she also lied on the baby's birth certificate to stop him from gaining access.

The 25-year-old told jurors it was 'obviously' not a real DNA test and had only done it to get her ex's solicitor off her back.

But the jury found she had done this to try and 'de-rail' Mr Fitton's legal battle.

Carter was hauled back to court just over a year after she was handed a suspended sentence for possessing indecent images of children.

The tree surgeon, who was previously known as Dominic, wore a hoodie emblazoned with 'NO PAIN NO GAIN' in the dock after admitting to not completing unpaid work.

Her original court case - reported exclusively by the Echo - ignited a firestorm debate across national newspapers and social media about transgender court defendants.

Darren Cleaver

Cleaver brandished a Samurai sword as he attacked a husband and wife at an HMO in Stafford Road, Shirley.

The 51-year-old began 'wildly swinging' the sword after a row over noise the previous night - striking the woman in the head and cutting the man's finger off.

He then disembowelled himself, taking a photo of his exposed intestine before sending it to his wife who left him that day.
