A care home has raised more than £1,000 for a church.
Residents and staff at Tendring Care Home, in Ringwood Road, Totton, hosted a summer fete to raise funds for St Matthew's Church in Netley Marsh.
On Tuesday, September 12, they presented the Rev John with a large cheque, having raised £1,091.
The money was raised through the sale of items made by the home's residents, including cards, birdhouses, jewellery, and crochet blankets.
Leah-Ann Bond, registered manager, said: "It has been an absolute pleasure raising these funds for the local church, the residents and staff had a lot of fun making all of the items to sell at the fete and the Reverend was overwhelmed by the funds we were able to raise.
"It has really made the community to come together in order to achieve these funds and I was so proud to be able to host this."
