Thousands of pumpkins and squash make up an impressive pumpkin display depicting pesky poltergeist Beetlejuice.

The team at Sunnyfields Farm said his name three times – and dedicated 50 hours – to make him appear.

The spectacular creation pays homage to the 1988 dark fantasy film directed by Tim Burton, starring Michael Keaton as Beetlejuice.

It also coincides with the release of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, the 2024 sequel to the original film.

He said: “Every year we ask the public what they would like to see at the farm and so many people asked for Beetlejuice on social media.

“We were not going to argue with the public, and the team here wanted to do Beetlejuice one year anyway, so this was the year.”

Around 10,000 different pumpkins and squash were used to construct the display after meticulous planning and design.

“We looked at the most recognisable pictures on the internet and chose the one of him sat on a house, but of course he is sat on orange pumpkins here”, Tom said.

He added: “We gave an artist we know a steer and he designed it for us.

“It took about 48 hours of planning behind the scenes, and we built the whole display in one day and filmed it on a timelapse.

“We posted some of our videos on Facebook and they have got thousands of views. People are certainly engaging with it.”

In 2022, the team paid tribute to Queen Elizabeth II with a Paddington Bear display.

“My favourite display of ours is still Paddington but Beetlejuice is number two on the list for me”, Tom said.

In recent years, the family run farm has also hosted the popular Summer Time event during August which is all about wandering the fields and exploring the farm with a backdrop of seasonal sunflowers.

Pumpkin Time iso pen between Saturday, October 5 and Thursday, October 31.

Tickets can be purchased for £5.50 from the Sunnyfields Farm website.
