A popular Southampton bar and restaurant has closed with its future uncertain.
Pitcher and Piano is in one of the city’s top locations for bars, situated in the middle of Ocean Village with views over the picturesque marina.
On Friday (October 4), a notice was spotted on the front of the building stating that it is closed for maintenance work.
The notice reads: “Due to maintenance issues, we are closed until further notice.”

This comes as the building housing the bar, which is also occupied by a number of flats, has been covered in scaffolding for more than a year as renovations take place.
In October last year, the bar announced it was looking for a new manager to run the restaurant.
Marston’s, the owner of Pitcher and Piano, has been approached for further information.
