A road was blocked for several hours after two trees came crashing down, narrowly missing parked cars.
Residents of Montgomery Road were startled by an “almighty bang” on Sunday morning.
Two trees collapsed onto the road near the junction with Tedder Road, with one falling only inches from a woman's car - also blocking the pavement.
Danni Whitcombe was at home when she heard the trees tumbling down.
She said: “I was in the garden when I heard an almighty bang.
"Next thing I know my neighbour is knocking on our door, letting us know to move my car, as two trees had fallen on the road.
"They narrowly missed my car. But my car is now in the way of getting around the tree.
"I'm just grateful no one was hurt."

Fellow resident Richard Pacey said there was a close call with the collapse of the trees and a car driver.
Richard, who reported the incident, said: “The thing is, there are a lot of trees in Montgomery Road and there has always been a threat of some of them coming down.
“Where I live, there are trees behind us and in front of us so it’s not a surprise this happened.
“Fortunately, no one was hurt. But if it had happened 10 seconds later the trees would have hit a car coming down Montgomery Road.
“Hopefully it will be cleared away soon.”
The road was officially closed by the authorities shortly before 2pm today (Sunday, October 6).
Hampshire tree surgeons Christopher Hoare arrived at the scene to clear away the debris and remained there for the majority of the afternoon.
The team were seen chopping up the trunks of the trees before using a woodchipper.
The collapsed trees meant there was no access available to those travelling from West End Road or Mousehole Lane.
