A new Greggs drive-thru welcomed scores of hungry customers as it opened its doors for the first time.
Pastry lovers flocked to Adanac Park at the weekend to taste test the baked goods available.
The latest addition to the national bakery’s empire, the outlet has created 15 new jobs.
It is now one of 13 Greggs stores in and around Southampton.
Plans were approved for the drive-thru last year.
Shop manager Justin Waldron said: “We can’t wait to welcome both Greggs fans and new customers to our brand-new shop.
“We’ve got an amazing range of iconic savouries, Fairtrade hot drinks, hot food and healthier choices available for takeaway, sit-in or Click + Collect.”
The store will stock freshly prepared Greggs favourites, such as a sausage roll, steak bake and vegan alternatives.
Those looking for festive treats will be able to enjoy one of Greggs’ hot drink offerings alongside the purchase of a single sweet mince pie, pumpkin biscuit or spooky bun as part of the ‘Sweet and Hot Drink Deal’.

These treats form part of the new menu, which also includes a pumpkin spice latte, salted caramel latte, orange mocha, and orange hot chocolate.
Gillian Long, retail operations director for Greggs, said: “Our new drive-thru shop in Southampton has brought 15 new jobs to the local area, as well as providing customers with a modern, convenient new place to experience their Greggs favourites.”
Boasting a “modern new look” and comfortable seating, the drive-thru shop is open daily from 6am to 9pm.
