From football to fashion, there's so much to do in and around Southampton this weekend.
Enjoy War Horse, pumpkins, drum & bass and so much more on October 12 and 13.
Here's our pick of the events...
At Mayflower Theatre...
The global phenomenon War Horse has returned to Southampton.
The National Theatre’s acclaimed production, which runs until October 19, was described as 'moving, mesmerising and utterly magnificent' by our review this week.
War Horse is an unforgettable theatrical experience which takes audiences on an extraordinary journey from the fields of rural Devon to the trenches of First World War France.
Based on the beloved novel by Michael Morpurgo, this powerfully moving and imaginative drama, filled with stirring music and songs, is a show of phenomenal inventiveness. At its heart are astonishing life-sized horses by South Africa’s Handspring Puppet Company, who bring breathing, galloping, charging horses to thrilling life on stage.
At Sunnyfields Farm..
It's pumpkin time again!
Be immersed in a pumpkin experience and embrace the best that autumn has to offer at Sunnyfields Farm in Marchwood from Saturday.
The farm will be covered in thousands of pumpkins until Halloween.
Enjoy photo opportunities, WOW displays and pumpkin picking, plus so much more.
At St Mary's Stadium...
With the international break meaning there's no mens match this weekend and with the women heading to local rivals Pompey, a charity match takes over St Mary's.
Saints legends are welcomed back on Sunday at 4pm.
Watch your favourite players back on the pitch during a fun-filled family day of football nostalgia, raising money for Saints Foundation, The Russell Martin Foundation, and The Ex-Saints Association.
Southampton's star-studded team against Russell Martin's XI will include Rickie Lambert, José Fonte, Morgan Schneiderlin, Shane Long, Theo Walcott and Franny Benali.
The management team will also feature club icons Matt Le Tissier and James Beattie.
At Engine Rooms, Southampton...
Take a whole orchestra, combine them with a world-champion DJ, and challenge them to tear through the history of drum & bass.
Following sell-out solo shows & headline sets at festivals such as Glastonbury, Shambala, London Remixed & Boomtown, the critically acclaimed super-orchestra Symphonica presents their brand-new show at Engine Rooms on Saturday night.
With their unique combination of orchestra and DJ, they're already renowned for their recreations of dancefloor classics and giving them a classical twist.
Led by composer and conductor Miles Hancock, with four times World Champion Mr Switch filling the DJ role, expect anthems and classics from past to present twisted up and revamped.
At St Mary's Church, Southampton...
Worth The Weight’s vintage kilo sales are just one way to stay on trend as the cold weather sets in this season. At the same time, customers can reduce the amount of waste that could end up in landfill as well.
The next Southampton event takes place at St Mary's Church on Saturday between 11am and 5pm.
Tonnes of amazing vintage stock will be available as organisers fight fast fashion.
