People are being encouraged to recycle more during recycle week - with libraries accepting items.
Residents in Southampton are encouraged to recycle items such as paper, cardboard, aluminium cans, tins, empty aerosols, and plastic bottles at home.
Cllr Eamonn Keogh, cabinet member for environment and transport said: "We all must work together on recycling."
Libraries will accept cables and small electrical items until October 21.
Those involved are: Bitterne Library, Central Library, , Lordshill Library, Portswood Library, Shirley Library and Woolston Library.
Cllr Keogh added: "Remember that we also have dedicated areas for electrical items, batteries and vapes at the Household Waste and Recycling Centre and you can check online for your nearest point by going to soton.cc/recycleyourelectricals."
