Dictionaries have been handed out to schoolchildren as part of a long-running initiative.
Hythe & Waterside Rotary have distributed dictionaries as part of the Rotary International in Great Britain & Ireland's "Dictionary 4 Life" project.
Rotarians David Saunders and Craig Webber attended a full school celebration assembly at Waterside Primary School, where they presented year four students with their illustrated dictionaries.
The project itself is in its 14th year and over a million books have been donated to date.
One of the most positive aspects of being able to use a dictionary is that it helps to develop autonomy and confidence in the learner which is one of the core goals of education.
