The cast for this year's pantomime, Mother Goose, has been revealed.
Theatre Royal Winchester's resident panto dame, Julian Eardley, who has been with the theatre since 2008, will play the title role.
Theatre Royal Winchester announced the news for the traditional family pantomime, set to run from November 30 to January 5, 2025.
Eardley will be joined by two other familiar faces, Libby Gore and Brontë Alice-Tadman. Gore, who will return for her fifth panto at Theatre Royal Winchester, will play Fairy Virtue. Alice-Tadman will play Demon Vice. Liam Watson, known for his role as Peter Pan with Little Wolf Theatre, will portray Jack Goose. Megan Prior will star as Priscilla Goose and will be part of the ensemble. Actor musicians Andrew Wheaton and Daniella Agredo-Piper will join the cast, providing live music during the show.
Mother Goose tells the story of a woman facing eviction who befriends a golden egg-laying goose, only to learn valuable life lessons about true happiness. This will be the first time the story is performed at Theatre Royal Winchester. The pantomime is produced by Play to the Crowd and is suitable for families.
