A major city centre road will close for hours later this month.
Bassett Avenue will be fully closed on Monday, October 28, which will likely cause delays around the area.
These works will only impact drivers travelling on Bassett Avenue between the hours of 10am and 2pm, in order to minims the impact of the works.
The major route into Southampton will be shut between the Burgess Road junction and Memorial roundabout.

A diversion has been put in place by the council which takes residents onto Winchester Road, Hill Lane and Burgess Road.
In addition to these works, Chetwynd Road, just off the Bassett Avenue roundabout will also close between 8am and 4pm on Tuesday, October 22, with Bassett Avenue acting as a diversion route.
Bassett Avenue is frequently congested during rush hour and these works have been timed to limit disruption.
