These loving animals are looking for a new family in Southampton to give them a forever home.

The Stubbington Ark Animal Recue Centre in Fareham is looking for residents in Southampton who could be the perfect match for a cat and three bunnies below.

Fitting as we are halfway through October and Halloween is just around the corner, the first animal on the hunt for a new home is black cat, Jade.

Ark marketing manager, Becci Denizhan, said: “Elderly cats and black cats take the longest for us to rehome - poor Jade falls under both categories.

“She is currently out on foster, but has been in our care and looking for her forever home for seven months now.”

The black cat will actively come downstairs to sit with her foster mum while purring and loves being stroked, brushed and has even started to play with toys.

Jade will need a home with outside access to a garden and she cannot be homed in the Portsmouth PO6 area – ideal for any Saints supporters.

Also in the care of the Stubbington Ark team and looking for a new home is bunny rabbit trio, Rik, Neil and Vivienne.

This inseparable trio are very close siblings who will often be found snuggling up together in their hutch.

Ark members of staff said they are curious rabbits at heart and will approach those they know well and trust.

The bunny trio will need a large outdoor shed with an aviary attached and children will need to be no younger than 14 years old due to the rabbit’s skittish nature.
