Skeletons, pumpkins, runners and more, it's another busy weekend in Hampshire.

Here's our five top tips for things to do to keep all the family entertained on October 19 and 20.

At Paultons Park...

(Image: Paultons Park) The team at Paultons love putting on a show and their Halloween experience is now underway.

Head to Paultons, home of Peppa Pig World, for the first weekend of their Spooktacular Halloween event!

The bone-chilling fun runs until Sunday November 4.

Expect to see pumpkins aplenty and skeletons everywhere from Tornado Springs to The Lost Kingdom.

There's even some late night fright nights to look forward to during half term.

At St Mary's...

(Image: Southampton FC / Matt Watson) It's another Saints double header this weekend with Russell Martin's men taking on Leicester City at 3pm on Saturday, while Remi Allen's women are at home to Birmingham City on Sunday at 2pm.

Kamaldeen Sulemana and Will Smallbone have been given a clean bill of fitness ahead of Saturday's clash.

Ghana winger Kamaldeen is yet to feature this season having suffered an injury in a pre-season friendly against Oxford United.

Smallbone has been absent from the squad since the end of August, seeing him miss the most recent international break with Ireland.

Their return comes as striker Ross Stewart faces another short spell on the sideline, having limped off at Arsenal a fortnight ago with a calf injury.

At Mayflower Theatre...

(Image: Brinkhoff-Moegenburg) The global phenomenon War Horse ends its run in Southampton on Sunday.

The National Theatre’s acclaimed production, which runs until October 19, was described as 'moving, mesmerising and utterly magnificent' by our review this week.

War Horse is an unforgettable theatrical experience which takes audiences on an extraordinary journey from the fields of rural Devon to the trenches of First World War France.

Based on the beloved novel by Michael Morpurgo, this powerfully moving and imaginative drama, filled with stirring music and songs, is a show of phenomenal inventiveness. At its heart are astonishing life-sized horses by South Africa’s Handspring Puppet Company, who bring breathing, galloping, charging horses to thrilling life on stage.

At Sunnyfields Farm...

It's pumpkin time again!

Be immersed in a pumpkin experience and embrace the best that autumn has to offer at Sunnyfields Farm in Marchwood from Saturday.

The farm will be covered in thousands of pumpkins until Halloween.

Enjoy photo opportunities, WOW displays and pumpkin picking, plus so much more.

In Portsmouth...

The world's premier 10-mile running event is returning to Portsmouth on Sunday, with thousands of entrants from Southampton.

The Great South Run is a flat, fast course along paved routes for the entire duration - which means it's perfect for setting a new personal best. The route will also take runners past some of Portsmouth's best scenery, including the Spinnaker Tower, Southsea Seafront and through Portsmouth Historic Dockyard (past Nelson's flagship HMS Victory).

Starting and finishing on Clarence Esplanade in Southsea, the fast and flat course takes you through Old Portsmouth, home of the Portsmouth Cathedral, before entering the Historic Dockyard. Here you’re granted permission to run past the Royal Navy’s current naval ships, and some of the most famous in the world – including HMS Victory, HMS Warrior and the Mary Rose museum.

After exiting the Dockyard you reach the halfway point on Winston Churchill Avenue, before making your way back towards Southsea Common, where you’ll complete the final two miles on the scenic seafront.

The course is steeped in history dating as far back as 1212 and features charity cheering points, boost zones, bands on the run and unrivalled support from local residents and spectators.

It's not all about the big event, though. There are a number of other races taking part across the weekend, to suit all ages and abilities.
