Teachers and school children have showcased their dance moves in a dance extravaganza in Southampton.
On Friday, October 18, the children and staff at Weston Park Primary School and Weston Shore Infant School enjoyed a communal dance quite unlike any other.
The school council asked the staff to run a dance contest so that the children could show off their dance routines which were put together to their favourite tracks.
The children from Weston Park and Weston Shore joined forces and all danced together to some classic salsa tunes.
The dancing was led by Tracie Gooch and Claire New from Tracie's Latin Club.
Once inside, the competition was started with Tracie and Claire leading a demonstration of Argentine Tango and Salsa before the children took over.

Altogether twelve groups performed to an enthusiastic and beautifully crowd.
Tracie and Claire judged the competition and found themselves running out of superlatives as the standard of dance was exceptionally high.
James Wiltshire, executive headteacher of Weston Schools Federation, said: “We would like to thank Tracie's Latin Club (TLC) for the dancing demonstrations and for working with us on such an exciting afternoon for the children. It was fabulous.”
