A well-known OAP hip-hop group known as ‘the grandfathers of UK Drill music’ are coming to perform in Southampton.
Pete and Bas, known by their real names as Peter Bowditch and Basil Bellgrave respectively are an unconventional rap group from London that were first formed in 2017.
Both in their 70s and touring around the county, the cockney duo are set to perform a show at the Engine Rooms in Southampton on Thursday, November 7, from 7pm until 11pm.

The OAP duo wrote their first song, Shut Ya Mouth, which was released on New Year's Day in 2018 – and has now racked up more than 1.7 million views.
By 2019, Pete and Bas were selling out shows across the UK and have even played a show in the party resort of Ayia Napa.
Drill music is an aggressive subgenre of hi-hop music which is lyrically similar to the gangsta rap subgenre.
