The following cases have been heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court...

GILBERT KANE, 56, of Thornbury Avenue, Southampton admitted drug driving at Six Dials junction in Southampton. He was caught with Benzoylecgonine in his blood - a breakdown product of cocaine. Kane received a 24-month driving ban and a £500 fine. He must also pay £85 court costs and a £200 surcharge. 

AMRIK GILL, 66, of Colne Avenue, Southampton pleaded guilty to drink driving a Kia Picanto at Shirley Park Road, Southampton. He was caught with 98 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath. Gill received a one-year community order with 60 hours of unpaid work and a 28-month driving ban. He must pay £85 court costs and a £114 surcharge. 

WESLEY SKINNER, 40, of Waters Edge, Hedge End admitted drink driving on Waters Edge. He was caught with 80 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath. Skinner was banned for 24 months and he was fined £850. He must also pay £85 court costs and a £340 surcharge.

DEXTER MUIRHEAD, 20, of Carly Mews, London pleaded guilty to drink driving on Bluebell Road, Southampton. He was driving a Ford KA when he was caught with 44 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath. Muirhead was banned for 16 months and fined £120. He must pay £85 court costs and a £48 surcharge. 

TERENCE PUGH, 59, of Fairmead Way, Totton was found guilty of exceeding a 30mph speed limit on the A35 Lyndhurst Road at Ashurst. He was driving a Mercedes when he was clocked at 35mph by manned speeding equipment. Pugh was fined £150 and received three points. He must pay £400 court costs and a £60 surcharge. 

PIOTR WOLOSZYN, 34, of Rollesbrook Gardens, Southampton admitted failing to report an accident at Shanklin Crescent. He was driving a Fiat 500 when damage was caused to a Toyota Avensis and a Vauxhall Insignian. Woloszyn also admitted driving with no insurance. He received a one-year community order with 120 hours of unpaid work. He must pay £85 court costs and a £114 surcharge.
