STANLEY LOWE, 27, of Westridge Road, Southampton, pleaded guilty to ten counts of shoplifting and two counts of attempted shoplifting. All offences occured in Southampton between May 27 and October 8. During his spree, Lowe stole goods including toilet roll, flowers, several plants and £100 of Ferrero Rocher Chocolate from Waitrose, Farmfoods, Sainsbury's and Central Convenience Stores. He was jailed for a total of eight weeks, with court registers revealing that magistrates deemed the offending so serious that only a custodial sentence could be justified due to persistent offending.

SOPHIE LENNARDS, 37, of Churchfields, Fawley, pleaded guilty to three counts of assault by beating and seven counts of shoplifting. She assaulted two women in Hythe on January 11, and a man in Southampton on May 28. Further, she stole £9.20 from Tesco in Hythe on December 4, 2023; £15 of items from the same store on January 11; £19 from Sainsbury's in Southampton on April 18; cleaning products valued at £42.96 from The Range in Southampton on May 28; meat valued at £183 from Waitrose in Hythe on May 30 with an unknown person; meat valued at £83.83 from Waitrose in Hythe on June 6; and meat, alcohol and kitchenware valued at £511.99 from Sainsbury's in Hedge End on June 28. Lennards was given an 18-month community order, which will include a six-month drug rehabilitation requirement, and 15 rehabilitation activity days. She must also pay £309.57 in compensation.

COLIN FREDERICKS, 60, of The Paddock, Calmore, pleaded guilty to harassment without violence. He admitted contacting a woman on October 14 which he was prohibited from doing by a restraining order imposed by Southampton Crown Court in August. Fredericks was given a conditional discharge for 18 months. He must pay £85 in costs and a £26 victim surcharge.
