A beloved micropub is launching their own exclusive stout after calls from customers to put one behind the bar.
The Cocky Anchor on Market Place has worked with Bewdley Brewery to develop the “Anchor Storm", a blend of seven premium malts that bring notes of chocolate for a smooth flavour.
The line for the new stout is being installed and set up on Friday November 1, where locals are invited to see the first pint be pulled on the same day.
Owner of the Cocky Anchor Ian Paxton said: “We’ve altered the bar slightly to make room for the Storm to come in, people have been asking us for ages to put a stout in.

“We’ve got loads of local people coming in to try it on Friday so there’s a real excitement about this one.”
The Anchor Storm has already been launched at the Cocky Anchor’s sister pub in Worcester – also named the Cocky Anchor – which is the only other location where the new stout is available.
