The following cases were heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court:

MARK SMITH, 38, of Wych Lane, Gosport, pleaded guilty to three charges of drug driving. On January 29 2024, Smith was driving on Frederick Road in Southampton with over 45 micrograms per litre of MDMA in his blood.

He also had over 45 micrograms per litre of cocaine breakdown Benzoylecgonine in his blood. On the same day he was found to have 22 micrograms per litre of cocaine in his blood.

He was handed a community order and ordered to complete 200 hours of unpaid work in 12 months. He was banned from driving for 30 months and must pay costs of £85 and £114 surcharge.

LEO O’DELL, 43, of Blendworth Lane, Southampton, admitted theft after he stole laundry products costing £42.90 from Asda on February 20, 2024. He must pay £42.90 compensation - and this will be deducted from his benefits.

DAVID BRAME, 43, of Malvern Close, Fair Oak admitted fraudulently using a registration mark. He used registration mark GL07 ONJ when the true registration for the vehicle on June 26 was ND07 AYB.

He also admitted driving without a seatbelt, without insurance and without a licence. He admitted obstructing a police officer and having no MOT.

A warrant was issued for his arrest after he did not appear in court.

MOHAMMED SURMI, 33, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to assault. On September 2 in Southampton he assaulted Raphaelle Debray by beating her.

Surmi admitted using threatening, abusive words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress on August 6 in Southampton.

He was remanded into custody and will next appear at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on November 5.

LEE HAZELL, 37, of Lancaster Road, Southampton admitted common assault in Totton and damaging a washing machine belonging to the same woman on August 15.

Hazell also admitted stealing alcohol worth £138.50 from Sainsbury's on June 29.

He admitted obstructing a police officer in Avenue Road car park in Bournemouth on February 2, and theft of biscuits, crisps, orange juice and pastries, valued at £7.29 belonging to Tesco, The Triangle, Bournemouth.

He was remanded into custody and will next appear at court on November 6.

LYEZ BENALI, 22, of Lavender Close, Southampton, admitted racially aggravated harassment on November 6 in 2023 in Leicester. Benali was remanded on bail until November 19.
