A city centre Tesco Express store is closed until mid November - and this is why.
Customers spotted the shop on Southampton High Street boarded up with a piece of paper stuck to the front which stated that the supermarket would be closed from October 26 to November 14.
The Express shop will be out of action for three weeks to allow for large scale renovations to be completed without endangering customers.

A Tesco Spokesperson said: “Our Southampton High Street Express is temporarily closed whilst the store is refurbished.
"The store is having a refit to improve the shopping experience for customers which will include new bakery fixtures, improved shelfing, and a full re-decoration.
"We apologise for the inconvenience and look forward to welcoming customers back to the refreshed store when it re-opens in November.”
Other Tesco Express stores in Ocean Village and Southampton Central remain open as usual.
