The following cases were heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court:
BELINDA BROWN, 56, of South Western House, Southampton, admitted to drink driving on August 9 on Bursledon Road, Southampton. She was found to have 105 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. This was triple the drink drive limit of 35. She was handed an interim disqualification and will next appear before the court on January 9, 2025. A pre-sentence report was ordered.
SCOTT MCGRADY, 28, of Palm Road, Southampton, pleaded guilty to drink driving on The Avenue, Southampton on August 25. He was found to have 88 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. He was disqualified from driving for 20 months and ordered to carry out a driving course by December 8, 2025. He was fined £200, ordered to pay court costs of £85, and a victim surcharge of £80.

STANLEY LOWE, 27, of Westridge Road, Southampton, admitted stealing multiple boxes of chocolate and laundry detergent worth £90 from Sainsbury’s on October 16. He further admitted stealing three bottles of Comfort fabric softener £7.50 from Poundland on October 25. He was released on conditional bail and will next appear at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on December 3.
LESLEY PETERS, 65, of Sydney Avenue, Hamble, admitted drink driving in Southampton on August 27. She was driving a Ford Fiesta in John’s Road, Southampton, with 82 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. She was disqualified from driving for 22 months, which can be reduced by 22 weeks should she carry out a driving course by January 27, 2026. She was fined £707 and ordered to pay court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £283.
