Totton South and Marchwood Councillor David Harrison has been very outspoken regarding crashes at the Totton roundabout in recent years.
After another HGV fell victim on Saturday, Cllr Harrison said: “It is always very surprising when a lorry crashes at Rushington roundabout, particularly after so much money has been spent on trying to improve safety.

“It demonstrates just how heavily it is used by lorries and that the causes are often unrelated to safety engineering methods.
“As always, there will be an investigation to find out what happened and appropriate action taken.”
Police, ambulance and highway maintenance attended the scene and no injuries were reported to Hampshire Constabulary.
