Three arrests have been made in connection with the stabbing of a teenager in Fair Oak on Halloween.

An 18-year-old man was seriously injured with a stab wound to his abdomen on Shorts Road.

Police were called at 11.23pm on Halloween and took the man to hospital, where he remains at the current time with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Three men have now been arrested in connection to the incident.

A 15-year-old from Bishopstoke and a 34-year-old have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

A 16-year-old from Bishopstoke has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and possession with intent to supply cannabis.

They remain in custody and police are continuing to appeal for witnesses to come forward.

A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said: "We believe there were a number of people in the Shorts Road and New Century Park area who likely saw what happened, and we would really like to hear from them.

"We would also like to hear from anyone who was driving through the area at the time and has dash cam footage that may assist our investigation. Or perhaps you live locally and have Ring Doorbell or CCTV cameras that may have captured something?

“Fair Oak is a lovely place to live but it does have a criminal underbelly, like most nice towns.

“I have been talking to the Fair Oak Parish Council for years about getting a better CCTV system, and it is certainly something I will raise at the next full council meeting in a few weeks."
