Three Southampton men who burgled a Co-op store on the Isle of Wight have been spared jail.
Police were called to Landguard Road in Shanklin at 10.53pm on Sunday, February 25, following reports of a burglary.
The Co-op store remained closed for most of the day after a quantity of cash was reported as stolen.
At the Isle of Wight Crown Court on October 7, Danny Kernaghan, 37, of Golden Grove; Robert Mandair, 33, of Cossack Green; and George Mason, 41, of Kingsdown Way were all sentenced.
Mandair was sentenced to 24 weeks suspended for 18 months. He was also ordered to carry out 25 rehabilitation activity requirement (RAR) days and told to pay a surcharge of £154.
Kernaghan was given a 44 weeks suspended for 18 months. He was also ordered to carry out 45 rehabilitation activity requirement days, 120 hours of unpaid work and pay a surcharge of £187.
Mason was sentenced to 51 weeks suspended for 18 months. He was told to carry our 30 RAR days, 200 hours of unpaid work and a surcharge of £187.
Kernaghan was also sentenced for a separate offence of failing to provide sample, following the same incident, by magistrates. He was ordered to pay a fine and costs, totalling £253.
Meanwhile, Mason saw separate offences of driving without a licence and no insurance sent to Southampton Magistrates' Court on November 27.
