A pocket watch that stopped when its owner went down with the Titanic is going to auction with a high five-figure asking price.
Uruguayan passenger Ramon Gomez died when the ship sank in the Atlantic in 1912, and his body and possessions were recovered from the sea a week later.
His family kept hold of the watch but never got it restored, and the watch is now being sold 112 years later for £80,000.
The watch is stuck at 4.53am, two hours and 33 minutes after the Titantic sank.
It is missing the second hand and some glass and is branded with Arabic numerals.
Auctioneers Andrew Aldridge said: “The fact that the watch is frozen in time by the cold North Atlantic that took both him and the Titanic confirms it as one of the most emotionally powerful objects that we have sold from the ship."
The sale will take place on November 16.
