A community skip scheme in Gosport has collected 500 tonnes of waste.
The milestone was reached at the latest free skip event on Saturday, October 26.
The scheme is run by Gosport Borough Council in partnership with TJ Waste, providing skips at seven community spots every other Saturday to help residents dispose of their bulky waste for free.
Since the scheme began last year, more than 350 skips have been filled.
The free skips are strictly for residents, meaning commercial waste will not be accepted.
The upcoming dates and locations for 2024 include:
- Saturday, November 9, at Green Lane car park.
- Saturday, November 23, at Privett Park.
- Saturday, December 7, at Bridgemary School.
- Saturday, December 21, at Alver Valley West car park.
Skips will be available from 9.30am to 11.30am, but may close earlier if all skips are full.
A list of accepted and non-accepted items can be found on the Gosport Borough Council website.
