An investigation has been launched after a spate of burglaries.
A man with a torch seen ‘peering into a car’ is one of the incidents being investigated.
The burglaries and car break-ins have occurred in the Stubbington and Gosport areas.
Between midnight and 5.30am on Monday, rings, cash, and airsoft equipment was stolen from an address in St Nicholas Avenue, Gosport.
On the same day – between 12.25am and 5.45am – jewellery was stolen from a house in Gosport Road, Stubbington.
A burglary at a house in Village Close sometime overnight on Sunday into Monday was also A purse was stolen, and a car on the driveway was searched, but nothing was stolen from the car.
Two further reports of cars being entered and searched, with nothing stolen, in Village Close, Stubbington, overnight on Sunday into the early hours of Monday were also made.

Police were also alerted to a ‘suspicious incident’ at 3.30am in Northways in which a man was seen looking in a car, but it was not entered.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said: “Enquiries are ongoing to identify the person, or people, responsible for these incidents, and officers will also be undertaking targeted patrols around affected areas.
“We encourage residents to check their vehicles, in addition to their doors and windows in their homes, to ensure they are securely locked.
“If you have any information at all – whether this be CCTV or doorbell footage, or you witnessed or heard anything suspicious in these areas around this time – please contact police on 101, quoting Operation Inquisitive.
“You can also submit information to us online.
“Alternatively, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111, or via their anonymous online form.”
