A Southampton housebuilder has raised money for breast cancer research.

Barratt David Wilson Homes' Hedge End office wore pink in exchange for donations to Breast Cancer Now as part of the annual Wear it Pink Day.

The aim of the event is to raise money for life-changing research and support for the 55,000 people diagnosed with breast cancer every year in the UK.

Tamsin Nichols, marketing co-ordinator and charity committee member at Barratt, said: "Many of us have been affected by breast cancer among our families, colleagues and friends. We wanted to help raise money for Breast Cancer Now and it was great to have a bit of fun while raising money for such a good cause."

To date, the campaign has raised £41 million.

Breast Cancer Now is working to ensure everyone diagnosed with breast cancer lives well by 2050. The charity is one of the largest breast cancer charities in the UK.
