The following cases were heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court:
PETER DAY, 88, of Monks Road, Netley Abbey, pleaded guilty to two counts of criminal damage to property under £5,000. On June 29, 2023 and July 3, 2023 at Grange Road, Netley, without lawful excuse, Day damaged the window of a house, with the intention of destroying or damaging such property. The value of the window is not known. He was remanded on conditional bail at Southampton Magistrates’ Court after admitting the offences. He will next appear in the same court on December 13, 2024. He has been given a exclusion order, preventing him from entering the road where the incident happened or contacting the victim.
GARY KIMMINS, 42, of Spring Road, Southampton, admitted one count of theft by finding. On June 1, 2023 in Netley Abbey, Kimmins stole diesel belonging to Mackoy Groundworks. He was ordered to pay costs of £400 and a surcharge of £114 by November 29, 2024. Kimmins was also handed an 18-month community order and told to complete mental health treatment for six months, with a total of 12 sessions. He must undertake a rehabilitation activity for 10 days.

CHRISTOPHER MAY, 44, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to harassment without violence In Kielder Close, Chandler’s Ford, on June 11, May pursued a course of conduct which amounted to the harassment of a woman. Between June 9 and June 12, 2024, he sent numerous messages to her. He also pleaded guilty to one count of assault by beating against the same woman, which took place on June 3. May was remanded into custody and will next appear at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on December 13.
TOLUWALOPE OLUROTIMI-COKER, 28, of Copland Road, Wembley, was found guilty of sexual assault of a female in Nursling Street, Southampton on August 12. He intentionally touched a woman over the age of 16, and the touching was sexual, when she did not consent, and he did not reasonably believe she was consenting. He was also found guilty of possessing a blade/knife in a public place on August 20, 2024 in Cricklewood Lane, London. For both offences, he was remanded into custody and will next appear at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on November 21.
