Parades will commemorate the fallen, a film festival gets underway and there's more firework fun.

Here's our guide to some of the many things to do in Hampshire this weekend (November 9 and 10).

At The Cenotaph...

Southampton’s Remembrance Sunday service will see the city pay tribute to the contribution of the British and Commonwealth military and civilian servicemen and women in the two World Wars, as well as later conflicts.

It will take place from 10.30am to 12 midday at The Cenotaph in Watts Park, where a wreath will be laid.

Following the service there will be a military parade from Guildhall Square to The Cenotaph – and the Lord Mayor’s Civic Procession.

On the day of the service, there will be several road closures in place from 7am until 2pm.

Around Southampton...

(Image: Ryan Hanan) A celebration of cinema, showcasing local talent and filmmaking from across the globe, Southampton Film Week is taking place around the city from this weekend.

Curated by City Eye and now in its 17th year, the festival continues to cultivate a deeper appreciation of film and moving image within Southampton and beyond.  Enjoy an eclectic mix of features, shorts, documentaries, and live music-enhanced cinema experiences, not to mention the hilarious fun to be had with an immersive Monty Python cinema experience!

This weekend enjoy a Buster Keaton Double Bill of Sherlock Jr and The Navigator and the SFW: Shorts Screening and Awards.

If you didn't get your fill of fireworks last weekend, there's more fun to come!

The Winchester Round Table Bonfire & Fireworks event takes place on Saturday.

Each year, the city centre procession, the lighting of the bonfire and the spectacular fireworks display is a huge success with around 20,000 people gathering to mark the failed plot of Guy Fawkes.

All profits to go to the Winchester Round Table Charitable Trust Fund to help local people who really need it. Last year the event raised over £65,000.

At Mayflower Theatre...

There is life after Romeo!

Get whisked away on a fabulous journey as Juliet ditches her famous ending for a fresh beginning and a second chance at life and love—her way.

Created by the Emmy-winning writer from Schitt’s Creek, this hilarious new musical flips the script on the greatest love story ever told and asks, what would happen next if Juliet didn’t end it all over Romeo?

Juliet’s new story bursts to life through a playlist of pop anthems, including Britney Spears, Katy Perry and The Backstreet Boys.

& Juliet is at Mayflower Theatre until Saturday night.

It's your last chance to see the women's team in action at home this calendar year on Sunday.

Remi Allen's side take on Durham in the closely contested Women's Championship. A win for the home side could see sixth placed Saints leap above their opponents, who currently sit two points ahead in third position.

Following a break until 2025, there will be five home matches across the second half of the season, including a mouth-watering first South Coast derby in the Championship at St Mary's against Portsmouth in March.

The Women's Championship table is finely poised as the halfway mark approaches, with just three points separating Saints from the top of the table.

The match kicks off at the earlier than usual time of 12 midday.
