A busy road will partially close for roadworks to take place.
Townhill Way will shut from the roundabout by Swaythling Road to the roundabout adjacent to Arun Road.
Starting from November 20 and expected to take up to four nights, the road will be inaccessible from 8pm to 6am.
The road will be open outside of these hours and at the weekend.
A spokesperson for Hampshire County Council, which is leading the project, said: “We will be resurfacing a section of Townhill Way, from the roundabout by A27 Swaythling Road up to and including the roundabout next to Arun Road.
“This forms part of our ongoing programme of planned essential maintenance to ensure our roads remain strong and resilient.
“The work is expected to take up to four nights to complete.”

Cllr Steven Broomfield, who represents West End on the county council, said: “As always, I suspect four nights is a worst case scenario.
“Although pedestrian access will be available at all times, vehicular access cannot be guaranteed.
“If you need to make essential journeys (getting to or from work, for example) contact contractors in advance.
“Any changes to plan will be noted on yellow signs.”
