Plans have been submitted to build 67 homes in the New Forest, some of which will be catered to first-time buyers and downsizers.

Pennyfarthing Homes are proposing to construct options for a wide-range of residents on land south of Milford Road in Lymington, a development that will include a mixture of one, two, three and four-bedroom properties.

A Pennyfarthing spokesperson said: “A significant portion of these homes will be designated as affordable, contributing to the local housing needs and stimulating economic growth in the area.

"The scheme will also include public open spaces and pedestrian footpaths connecting to neighbouring areas, enhancing accessibility and community cohesion."

The Daily Echo previously reported that Pennyfarthing were seeking community feedback after unveiling proposals, but now the planning permission has been submitted.

The site was allocated for residential development in the New Forest Local Plan, a land-use guide that acts as a blueprint for developers.

At the time of writing, no official objections have been submitted to the plans.
