Police caught several speeding drivers in just one afternoon after residents spoke out about their concerns.
PSO Thorngate from the Fareham West Neighbourhood Policing Team was on Southampton Road in Titchfield at the end of the school day and managed to record 30 offences around schools.
The initiative came after residents raised concerns about drivers breaking limits around schools, an issue which the Fareham West NPT identified through their “Let’s Talk” survey.

The highest speed recorded was 63mph on a 40mph road.
PCSO Lianne McAllister from Fareham West NPT said: “We are fully aware of how emotive speeding is around schools and are working hard to reduce this issue across the Western Wards.
“We are determined to continue our efforts to tackle this issue and appeal to you to keep the information coming in.
“Speeding continues to come up as the top issue by residents who have kindly completed the Let's Talk survey.”
