Police have confirmed what happened during an incident on Shirley High Street yesterday.
Shortly before 3pm on Friday, November 8, Southampton Travel informed followers on X – formerly known as Twitter – that an “incident had occurred on Shirley High Street with the road under a lane restriction whilst emergency services attend.”

Confirming the nature of the incident, a spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said: “We were called at 2.47pm yesterday (Friday, November 8) to a report of a collision involving an ambulance and a car on Shirley High Street.
"No injuries were reported.”
